Q: DO YOU offer a consultation?

A: Yes! In fact, I require a discovery call before booking to make sure we're a perfect match. This is a chance for us to discuss your vision, review a wedding day timeline, and go over pricing details. Since I am also in the salon four days a week, I intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year to maintain a healthy work-life balance and ensure I can give each couple the time and attention they deserve.

Q: DO YOU OFFER A HAIR TRIAL?

A: Yes! I perform 1 wedding hair trial for the primary client(s) only! Trials are held at my salon in Snohomish, WA.

Q: DO YOU TRAVEL or do I have to come to you for hairstyling?

A: On the wedding day, I travel to you! (This is often a more practical environment for day-of). However, as mentioned above,  I offer wedding hair trials at my salon in Snohomish, Washington.

Q: Do you style hair for just the primary client (bride)? or DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE YOU WILL STYLE FOR A WEDDING/EVENT?

A: I will style hair for the primary partner (bride), wedding party, moms, grandmas, daughters, officiant, flower girls, guests, and more! I do have a four person minimum for hairstyling. However, if your wedding day is an elopement, there are exceptions.

Q: DO YOU HAVE A CONTRACT?

A: Yes! A retainer and signed contract are required for booking.

Q: Do you specialize in any wedding hairstyles?

A: I started my journey in hairstyling with vintage/pin-up looks. Nowadays, I love a soft, romantic look, specifically a boho style, with light pieces intentionally out of place. 

Q: What is your approach to hairstyling for different clients? how do you ensure inclusivity and diversity in your services?

A: Everyone receives a consultation. Modest Medusa is non-discriminatory, all-inclusive, and an LGBTQIA+ ally, offering hairstyling services to everyone. Hair has no gender or race, hair is a texture, and I offer styling for all hair  types!

Q: How far in advance SHOULD i Book my wedding hairstyling?

A: I book weddings anywhere between 6-18months ahead! Keep in mind, during peak season (May-October) dates fill up much faster!

Q: why isn't your pricing listed?

A: There are a few reasons behind this: it helps ensure we're on the same page, avoids misunderstandings like low-ball offers or price shopping, and encourages a more meaningful conversation. I really want to get to know you better through a thoughtful discovery call!

Q: I also need a makeup artist. do you offer makeup, or do you have anyone that you would reccommend?

A: I don't offer makeup services. However I do have a detailed list of local makeup artists who specialize in their own craft and that I love to work with, on a trusted vendor list. This is something I can share with you after a discovery call!

Q: do you have packages?

A: I don't have specific packages, just a minimum of two people to book. I offer hairstyling for each wedding partner, wedding party, flower girls, mothers, grandmothers, the officiant and more! I also offer hairstyling at other events such as elopements, engagements, quinceanera, birthdays, boudior, and branding.
